Rajasthan is the largest state, one of the most historic and possibly the best known among those planning a Rajasthan Group Tour Packages. In Rajasthan, the most iconic images of India abound: the huge forts, the turbans, the colored saris, the endless moustaches. Some of the most interesting visits to see in India are in this gigantic state in the north of the country. The best known and considered "essential" places in any of our Rajasthan Group Tour are Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur and Jaisalmer.
Jaipur, The Capital of Rajasthan in India
The capital of Rajasthan is Jaipur, a bustling city packed with interesting attractions and plenty of activities to do. Jaipur forms part of the Golden Triangle (along with Delhi and Agra) and is a great destination for Rajasthan Group Tour Package. There are three main forts in Jaipur: Amber Fort, Nahargarh Fort and Jaigarh Fort. Also worth exploring is the City Palace, an impressive combination of Mughal and Rajput design that is so large that most travelers cannot see it all in one day, the Hawa Mahal or the Jantar Mantar.
Udaipur
Udaipur is known as the City of Lakes, so it should come as no surprise that the lakes are a main attraction. Two of the largest lakes, Fateh Sagar and Pichola, are man-made and beautiful. The main reason to visit Udaipur is the opportunity to explore the Udaipur City Palace, a collection of palatial temples, museums and gardens with a wide variety of architectural styles. North side of the palace is the Jagdish temple, the famous temple in Udaipur.
Jaisalmer
Also known as the Golden City, Jaisalmer is an extraordinary city on the fringes of the Thar Desert. The main dominant feature of Jaisalmer is the Jaisalmer Fort which is still an inhabited space. Unlike virtually all other forts in India, the one in Jaisalmer is fully functional and inside the fort you can see private residences, shops and even restaurants.
Jodhpur, The Blue City of Rajasthan
This Blue City is located on the edge of the Thar Desert. It's colorful nickname comes from the many blue houses in the city, which make it look blue when viewed from above. No Rajasthan Group Trip Packages would be complete without a tour of the 15th century Mehrangarh Fort, the largest fort in all of Rajasthan. The fort complex is home to an impressive mirrored hall, intricate sandstone screens at Zenana Deodi, the Chamunda Mataji temple and even great local life that really bring the fort to life.
